Getting started with Contents Lab

Welcome to Contents Lab. This guide walks you through creating your first project, opening the calendar, and writing your first topic — all in under 5 minutes.

1. Create a project

Click New project on the home screen. Pick a type (Book, Blog, Social Media, Newsletter, Research, Other), give it a name, and write a short description.

2. Open the calendar

Every project opens to a calendar. The calendar is the project’s default workspace. Click any day to start writing.

3. Add a topic

On a day, click the + Topic button. Give the topic a title, pick a type (Article, Thread, Post, Chapter, etc.), and assign channels (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram — connect them first in Settings).

4. Write

Click the topic to open the editor. The editor has Markdown + WYSIWYG, autosave, version history, and a one-click Source panel on the right.

5. Add sources

Open the Source panel. Capture a URL, paste a note, or upload a file. Sources live in the project’s shared Source Library and can be cited in any editor with one tap.

6. Run an AI agent

Click the AI button in the editor toolbar. Pick Deep Research (research a question), Curator (suggest an outline), or Generation (draft a section). All agents write audit records and respect your plan’s AI quota.

7. Publish

When a topic is ready, mark it as Ready to publish. The publish queue fans it out to all assigned channels at the scheduled time.

That’s it. Welcome to Contents Lab.
