Plan once, publish everywhere.

Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram from one queue. Per-channel variants. Schedule or post now. Analytics roll back into the Project.

The problem

Why this matters

Publishing the same idea to four channels usually means four browser tabs, four paste-overs, and four slightly different versions of the same post — none of which talk to each other or to the original draft. The publishing queue in Contents Lab fixes this by treating channels as variants of one Topic, not as separate documents.

How it works

Four steps, no friction.

  1. 1

    Connect a channel

Authorise Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram with OAuth. Tokens are stored encrypted; you can disconnect at any time.

  2. 2

    Create a variant

From the Topic editor, spin up a per-channel variant. Each variant has its own copy, length, and media — but shares the Topic’s sources and approvals.

  3. 3

    Schedule or post now

Drop the variant into the publishing queue. Schedule for a specific time or post immediately. The queue respects each platform’s rate limits.

  4. 4

    Measure

When the post is live, analytics roll back into the Project. Views, clicks, replies — all visible next to the original Topic.

Key features

What you get out of the box.

  • Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram at launch — more on the roadmap
  • Per-channel variants from one Topic — never copy-paste between tabs
  • Per-channel media: image, video, gallery, card preview
  • Schedule for any future time or post immediately
  • Publishing queue with status: scheduled, publishing, published, failed
  • Automatic retry on transient errors with visible failure reasons

Deep dive 1

A Topic, not a post.

The problem. Posting the same idea four times means four copies of the same content.

The Contents Lab way. A Topic is the idea. A variant is the channel-specific expression of that idea. Change the Topic and you can re-spin every variant. Approve the Topic once and every variant is approved.

  • Variants share the Topic’s sources, approvals, and analytics
  • Per-character and per-media validation per channel
  • Re-publish a variant — for example, a thread recycled into a LinkedIn carousel
Deep dive 2

Failure is visible, not silent.

The problem. A scheduled post that silently failed is worse than no schedule at all.

The Contents Lab way. The publishing queue shows every step: scheduled, publishing, published, failed, cancelled. Failed posts keep their error message so you can fix and retry.

  • Automatic retry with exponential backoff for transient errors
  • Per-channel rate-limit tracking so the queue never gets you banned
  • Notifications when a scheduled post succeeds or fails
